Amanda Bobby Cooper (@abcnation115) is an American professional mixed martial artist who competes in the Strawweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). She started boxing at the age of 12 and in 2011 at the age of 19 she stepped into the octagon for the first time. In 2 years she became #1 ranked 125lb amateur fighter in Michigan and #3 ranked in the country with an amateur record of 8-3. Utilising a boxing approach, the 26 year old entered the UFC via the famed MMA reality show ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ and continues to help women’s MMA evolve by demonstrating great technique and showcasing her talent. The UFC summarise her fighting style as powerful, saying she is unpredictable and switches stance, utilising a good guard and good submissions.
In this interview, we quickly discuss her story, MMA, training etc. We didn’t have much time, so we just covered some basics, but Amanda gives some great answers, you can’t help but like her and she is going to be a superstar soon. I hope to have her on the show for a full interview when our schedules will allow it.

Today’s guest is Chad Wesley Smith (@jgrnauttraining) who is the owner of Juggernaut Training Systems, a top 20 Ranked raw powerlifter of all-time, author, speaker & coach.
As his about page outlines: Chad is one of the most accomplished strength athletes of recent years. With a background in track and field, Smith took his 2 collegiate national championships and continued his success in powerlifting and strongman. In powerlifting, Smith owns current PRs of 435kg/959# squat with wraps, 380kg/848# squat in sleeves, 257.5kg/567# bench press and 367.5kg/810# deadlift, as well as Top 10 totals all-time with wraps and without at 1050kg/2314# and 1010kg/2226# respectively. Smith also earned his professional status in Strongman by a landslide victory at the 2012 North American Strongman Championships. As a coach, Smith has helped over 50 athletes earn Division 1 athletic scholarships and worked with athletes in NFL, UFC, MLB and Olympics, as well as having numerous world-class powerlifters.

I was trying to think how best to sum up Rachel’s great work when I came across her about page and I think it sums it up perfectly:
“Unf*ck Your Habitat: You’re Better than Your Mess is the housekeeping and organizational system developed for those of us who’d describe our current living situation as a “f*cking mess” that we’re desperate to fix … it is for anyone who has been left behind by traditional aspirational systems: The ones that ignore single people with full-time jobs; people without kids but living with roommates; and people with mental illnesses or physical limitations, among many others. Most organizational books are aimed at traditional homemakers, DIYers, and people who seem to have unimaginable amounts of free time. They assume we all iron our sheets, have linen napkins to match our table runners, and can keep plants alive for longer than a week. Basically, they ignore most of us living here in the real world. Interspersed with lists and challenges, this practical, no-nonsense advice relies on a 20/10 system (20 minutes of cleaning followed by a 10-minute break; no marathon cleaning allowed) to help you develop lifelong habits. It motivates you to embrace a new lifestyle in manageable sections so you can actually start applying the tactics as you progress.
