Do you know the three words that could save your life?

A free app, that can help save yours or someone else’s life in an emergency. I have no involvement in this, no financial input or any other connection but I feel we should all use this as it can save lives by helping emergency services pinpoint out location, to aid those in emergency need, the quickest and most effectively. The information below, is from their site and all rights to the information and are property of ThreeWords.

The simplest way to talk about location

Street addresses weren’t designed for 2020. They aren’t accurate enough to specify precise locations, such as building entrances, and don’t exist for parks and many rural areas.
This makes it hard to find places and prevents people from describing exactly where help is needed in an emergency.

That’s why they created what3words.

Every 3 metre square of the world has been given a unique combination of three words. Used for e-commerce and delivery, navigation, emergencies and more.

What3words essentially points to a very specific location. Its developers divided the world into 57 trillion squares, each measuring 3m by 3m (10ft by 10ft) and each having a unique, randomly assigned threeword address.

You simply open the WhatThreeWords app, and it automatically provides the three words that identify the location you are in. This can be shared to others to see where you are, or provided to the Emergency Services who can use the service to pinpoint you. It is a great safe guard to use for hill walking, climbing etc, where you are in remote places, and possibilities of difficulty may arise, regardless of how little it seems possible. Simply download onto your phone and have the backup if you ever need it.

About the Author
I’m a podcaster who interviews great examples of people to discuss and highlight the methods, hacks, tips and procedures you can use in your own life to help you develop and better your life. I would definitely not consider myself an expert, so to improve, I ask them and action it in my own life! My personal journey has been marked by awkwardness and awesomeness, OCD and ‘OMG’. I have suffered with depression, shyness, unhappiness and lack of focus and motivation so I know what’s it like to feel lost and hopeless. Back then, I wished I had a podcast to listen to and find actual fixes and concrete action steps and not just unobtainable suggestions and promotion of their products but couldn’t find it … so I made my own!
