KEY POINTS, Links & Actions
Here are some key points that I would advise you to concentrate on
- Branding is what tells your customers etc what you are all about, what you values are and the visitor can decide whether to interact with you or not from your branding alone.
- Your branding communicates with the visitor well before you actually speak to the customer directly, so the branding should portray your company correctly and appeal to the customers you want to attract.
- Branding goes well beyond the colors used, the logo etc, and may different areas affect whether your branding is successful or not.
- Sometimes hard things in our life can have a silver lining on them. You can learn and grow as a person from facing demons from your past and trying to understand what happened and understanding it from the outlook of another person.
- Your branding allows a customer etc to make a judgement on you from browsing your website etc before they even interact with you – with a poor branding, people can incorrectly judge you and perhaps not work with you etc.
- Your personal branding can affect whether people take you seriously, whether you find the kind of partner you want, how people perceive you etc.
- “Why should the customer care?” How are you different, what makes you unique and better than your competitors, make them choose you, not elsewhere.
- Selling requires a good understanding of human psychology much more than the actual product being sold.
- The branding a company uses to showcase itself and it’s products has a powerful impact on what you purchase.
- People’s needs and wants will change over time, you need to be willing to change to match the changing scene but change is not always the best option, you need to ensure your brand is honest and true to who you are as a business, person etc and you will find the people who that resonates with.
- When thinking about standing out in a crowded niche, how can you brand yourself in a way that is unique to you and play to your strengths.
- You need to work out who your average listener/customer will be – make an avatar of this person, what do they want, need and look for? Then see how your branding and products match what the average avatar wants.
- 90 days is a good time range to try a new content and branding change to see how it works.
