Here are some key points that I would advise you to concentrate on
- Mental health problems do not make less, or not valued, you are unique and the world is better with you in!
- You can learn the skills easy enough, there are free resources and mentors everywhere, the hard part is learning to change your mindset, to view yourself in a better way, to lose the limiting beliefs holding you back and accept you can do more.
- “You act in accordance with how you see yourself.”
- Your goals and tasks for the day, week and month need to be clearly defined and specific, to avoid the mental masturbation and wasted time.
- Your childhood and your upbringing affects how you view the world.
- You can work towards your goals and try and fix your limiting beliefs etc as you go, you can “fly your plane and fix it at the same time“. You don’t need to be ‘fixed’ before you start on your goal.
- You will attract people and situations that shine a light on an area of yourself that you are struggling with, the wounds that you keep open, until you accept you need to deal with them and learn to accept and grow from them.
- Find friends, partners and others who can act as accountability partners – people who can help keep you motivated and focused on what you want to achieve, not the latest shiny problem that arises. Tell them your goals, and ask them to help you keep on track.
- The belief to ‘grind 24/7’ doesn’t lead to success, it leads to burnout! Work smarter, not longer.
- Changing your life for the better takes time and is consistently fluid, it is not a ‘one and done’ style of change.
- You need to chase your goals but not be attached to them, don’t make your worth the value if you achieve them or not. Have goals but have a worth of yourself that is not dependent on whether you become successful or not.
- Your ego is there to keep you save but it also makes you chase an unhealthy and unsuitable version of yourself. You need to lose the ego, to truly be able to give yourself towards your goals.
- You need to find a mission for your life, one that is larger than you, one that motivates you to get out of bed and chase your dreams and goals.
- By noticing and understanding your triggers and reactions, you learn what is holding you back and what you need to work on.
- 3 months is a good time-frame to monitor your progress in life, and then at that point, look to analyse again and make the changes as required to help you level up further.
- What you feel and live is what you will attract in your life.
